This section didn't exactly come to me in a dream, but definitely in a daytime reverie. I was fussing with plot issues and thinking about tea parties, and Alice in Wonderland, and then I was drifting a bit and heard Marina say, "and THEN what happened?" I went over the lay of the plot and over it and over it, and about 2 months later just drew it like I'd heard it in my head. It's nice when your back brain steps in with (hopefully beneficial) surprises.

Molly Demeter Sokolow Hayden (or Modemeter, for obvious reasons of length) grew up surrounded by her father’s comic book collection, sometimes literally. She fell in love with Will Eisner’s Spirit at an inappropriately young age and wishes she could draw like Jaime Hernandez. She lives in Portland, Oregon with her husband, her daughter, and her cat, and sneaks down to her drawing table whenever she can.
